The main objects of the India Trade Promotion Organization are:

i) To develop and promote exports, imports and upgradation of technology through the medium of fairs to be held in India and abroad;
ii) To undertake publicity through the print and electronic media;
iii) To assist Indian companies in product development;
iv) To organize export development programmes, buyer-seller meets, contact promotion programmes and integrated marketing programmes for specific products in specific markets. India Trade Promotion Organisation provides information and market intelligence to the business community in India. It also organises visits of buyers and trade delegations from abroad to industry and trade establishments in India with a view to promote the establishment of the trade contacts.
